HOME BUYING PAPERWORK CHECKLIST: A HELPFUL GUIDE

Home Buying Checklist

Home buying is a stressful process all around. You have to make sure you qualify, shop for a house you want, then go through all the trials and tribulations associated with an accepted offer. There is also a lot of paperwork involved in a transaction. Knowing what you need ahead of when you need it can save yourself a lot of headaches.

Below is a handy “Homebuyer’s Paperwork Checklist,” courtesy of the Doorsteps Blog. They gathered a list of all the paperwork you will need at each step of the home-buying process. This information is something that will alleviate hassle for everyone involved. If you’re thinking about buying a home, this is just the chart for you!

  • Please be noted that this chart is from 2013. The “Good Faith Estimate” is no longer used, but is rather called a “Loan Estimate.” “HUD-1s” are also no longer used, and are replaced by “Settlement Statements.”
